The Boston Marathon is the oldest annual marathon in the world and one of the most celebrated. 30,000 athletes from around the world gathered in April 2019 to take part in the 123rd running of the prestigious race. To help make the day go smoothly and safely for runners and spectators alike, Everbridge partnered with the Boston Athletic Association to coordinate its vast network of volunteers, including its medical teams. In addition to using the Critical Event Management platform, Everbridge also embedded staff within the BAA’s Operations Center.
